ASTA Presents: Restoration Round Up

The Story
For decades, the Austin Steam Train Association has carried on a tradition that most places have let fade: the feel of a genuine excursion and history you can actually ride. None of that happens by accident.
Behind every trip is a small army of volunteers, mechanics and crew keeping the equipment running, the tracks safe, and the experience alive. Ticket sales cover part of it – but the rest depends on people like you!
Restoration Roundup is our campaign to fund the every day work that keeps ASTA moving: maintenance, operations, restoration, and the people who make it all possible. This is about making sure ASTA is here for the next 30 years the way its been here for the last 30.
Why It Matters
- Every excursion takes real upkeep. Historic equipment doesn’t run on nostalgia alone! It takes constant care, parts and expert hands.
- We’re volunteer-powered. Your gift directly supports the people and materials that keep this nonprofit running.
- This is living history. ASTA is history that you can ride, hear and feel! That only continues with community support.

Cap off the campaign with us at a community celebration on the platform: local vendors, food, and an optional sunset ride. All are welcome – donors, members and friends of ASTA alike!
