A ride for all ages

All Aboard for a Classic Train Ride Experience.

Step back in time and experience a classic railroad adventure on the Bertram Flyer! Perfect for families, friends, dates, and multi-generational outings, this beloved excursion offers a relaxed and memorable way to spend the day together.

This 3.5-hour train ride begins at the Cedar Park Depot and travels through the Texas Hill Country. Along the way, you’ll cross Short Creek Canyon, traverse the 300-foot-long wooden trestle bridge over the South San Gabriel River, and make a brief stop at the historic 1912 Bertram Depot, giving you a chance to stretch your legs and take photos. The journey takes place aboard beautifully restored vintage railcars from the 1930s–1950s, pulled by a historic diesel locomotive. Enjoy comfortable seating, a friendly crew, and the timeless charm of railroading as it used to be.
