Celebrating 25 years of memories!
The Bertram Flyer is back! This 44 mile round trip journey spans the South San Gabriel River and stops for a 15 minute layover at our historic Bertram Depot. The stop is perfect for a quick tour of the Depot and some great photographs by the train. This trip is only 3 hours long-- and is great for families with young kids (and shorter attention spans!) or anyone looking for a quick getaway.
Our most popular route! This 66 mile excursion journeys through the Texas Hill Country, crossing the wooden trestle bridge over the South San Gabriel River and Short Creek Canyon. During the two hour layover in Burnet you can enjoy lunch on your own, a leisurely stroll around the historic town square and the Wild West Gunfight (weather permitting). Finally, relax and enjoy our historic cars as the train returns to Cedar Park!
