Ghostbusters Murder Mystery
(March 20, 2010)
Ghostbusters Train Show The Capital City Ghostbusters have been hired by the Austin Steam Train Association to rid their excursion train of a particularly stubborn spirit. It’s the ghost of a woman who died violently on the train at the turn of the last century (110 years ago), on or around the first day of Spring. Myrtle May Hickey’s body was found in a compartment on one of the private rail cars, dead of an apparent strangulation. She was an Austin socialite. Her husband Charles, who was under suspicion for the murder, died himself before he could go to trial from what could only be described as “fright.” Though the train has tried to keep it hush-hush, they have had “sightings” every year on the first day of Spring (March 20) since they started making excursion runs. As the infamous date approaches again, they have called on the Ghostbusters to rid them of this spirit once and for all.
This interactive event includes a meal, drinks and the chance to help the Ghostbusters solve the mystery. Ages 12 and up are welcome on board for this murder mystery event!
