Matt started volunteering on the train in 2012.  Growing up in Western Pennsylvania, his family’s home was 20 yards from the main line between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. This along with owning model trains as a child has always sparked an interest in trains. After riding on the Hill Country Flyer a couple of times with wife and 3 children, Michele supported Matt in his desire to actually volunteer on the train. When Seth and Matthew became old enough to volunteer, they also joined the on-board services team. Michele then followed suit after hearing the stories from the rest of the family about the people and activities on the train. She has volunteered when she can, but still fully supports the rest of the family in their excitement. The whole family enjoys the people we meet on the train and the camaraderie of the volunteers.
